CTO Heather Anderson earns 2026 Women in Business Award
Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal honors Heather Anderson for leadership, innovation and community impact

MINNEAPOLIS (March 9, 2026) — Northmarq is proud to announce that Chief Technology Officer Heather Anderson has been named a 2026 Women in Business honoree by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The award recognizes top executives for leadership, professional achievements and community impact across the Twin Cities.
Anderson has led major advancements in Northmarq’s technology strategy since joining the company five years ago. She directed the launch of the firm’s enterprise document management and workflow platform — now housing more than 7 million documents — and oversaw the integration of the Real Capital Markets listings platform with Salesforce.
Under her leadership, Northmarq also introduced new Lender and Client Gateways that modernized communication and improved transparency for loan servicing customers.
A champion of innovation, Anderson has spearheaded Northmarq’s custom artificial intelligence solutions, including tools for lease abstraction and automated processing of operating statements and rent rolls. These initiatives, along with other AI automations, delivered more than 1,700 person‑hours avoided in 2025. Her accomplishments have also earned regional recognition; she was an Orbie Award finalist in 2023 and a nominee in 2026.
Beyond her role as CTO, Anderson contributes to industry leadership as a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Commercial Technology Officers Roundtable and serves on Northmarq’s Executive Advisory Committee while chairing the Technology Steering Committee.
She is also deeply engaged in the community through her work with UpTurnships, Salvation Army’s William Booth Society and Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities.
The Business Journal will celebrate the 2026 Women in Business honorees in its May issue and at a recognition event later this spring.
