MINNEAPOLIS (June 1, 2026) — Northmarq is excited to welcome its 2026 intern class, which arrives today with a broader reach and greater depth than ever before.

Interns are joining teams in 17 offices nationwide — from Minneapolis and Dallas to New York City, Seattle and Charlotte — and six interns are returning from last year.

While many interns are placed within Debt + EquityInvestment SalesNorthmarq Agency and Northmarq Fund Management, the internship program extends across the company — with additional placements in Information TechnologyMarketing & CommunicationsHuman Resources and Loan Servicing.

The 2026 intern class

The 2026 intern class represents almost 40 universities, with several schools continuing to emerge as strong and consistent talent pipelines for Northmarq.

At the same time, the group brings an increasingly diverse mix of academic backgrounds. Alongside finance, real estate and economics majors, this year’s class includes students studying:

  • Classics, computer science and data analytics.
  • Marketing, journalism and graphic design.
  • Human resources and risk management.

Many interns are also earlier in their academic careers than in previous years, reflecting a more intentional focus on building long-term relationships with emerging talent.

Together, these perspectives help strengthen teams across the organization — introducing new skillsets, fresh thinking and a wider lens on the challenges and opportunities in Northmarq's business.

Inside the program

Northmarq’s internship program is designed to deliver a well-rounded and engaging experience. Interns have the opportunity to:

  • Build connections with peers, mentors and leaders.
  • Gain hands-on experience in their field of interest.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the commercial real estate industry.
  • Contribute to real business outcomes.

The program also includes a leader speaker series, where company leaders share insights into their business lines and career paths in an interactive setting.

At the end of the summer, interns are encouraged to apply for full-time opportunities with Northmarq, and eligible students may also apply for a $1,000 scholarship offered by Northmarq's Inclusion Committee.
