About Annamarie

Annamarie Bjorklund (AB) is senior vice president of Debt + Equity at Northmarq in Nashville.

AB focuses on the recapitalization and financing of existing multifamily assets as well as developments, acquisitions and special situations of commercial real estate investments across the Southeast and Midwest. As part of Northmarq’s National Equity Advisory platform, she works extensively with sponsors and equity providers including private equity funds, family offices, pension fund advisors, life companies and international equity groups looking to invest in U.S. real estate.

Prior to joining Northmarq, AB served as associate director of acquisitions at Marquette Companies where she led the firm’s acquisitions and fundraising efforts for multifamily investments in the sunbelt region. She also spent four years at Origin Investments, a Chicago-based private equity fund, where she evaluated acquisitions, development, opportunity zone and debt opportunities.

AB is actively involved in ULI and REFF, a leading organization for women in commercial real estate.

Originally from Chicago, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned degrees in real estate and urban land economics, Spanish and Chinese.
