Charles Hutchens

Charles Hutchens is a senior director of Northmarq Fund Management. Based in the firm’s Richmond office, Charles is responsible for overseeing the division’s registered fund platform.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Charles was the co-founder and managing director of Thirdline Capital, a real estate fund management firm that merged with Northmarq in 2026. Before founding Thirdline Capital, Charles served as vice president of Holladay Corporation, a Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate development and investment firm. During his 16-year tenure at Holladay Corporation, Charles led acquisitions, development projects, financings, and asset management initiatives. Charles began his career in the mortgage banking group at Walker & Dunlop in Bethesda, Maryland.

Charles earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Richmond. He serves on the St. Bridget School Finance Committee, where he leads the Investment Committee.
