MINNEAPOLIS (March 19, 2026) — Northmarq today announced the promotion of Jeffrey Erxleben to president of Capital Markets, effective immediately. In this expanded executive leadership role, he will oversee the company’s national debt, equity and investment sales platforms.
“We are pleased to elevate such a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to this critical role,” said Jeffrey Weidell, chief executive officer of Northmarq. “Under Jeff’s leadership, our investment sales, debt and equity platforms will persist in growth, while we further integrate sales and finance in capital markets. During Erxleben’s 23-year tenure with Northmarq, he most recently served as president of its Debt & Equity platform, which spans the U.S. across more than 50 offices. As a member of the executive committee, he will continue to shape the company’s strategic direction, while leading initiatives that integrate capital markets capabilities and align the firm’s lending, capital placement, and investment sales businesses to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Erxleben has extensive experience in capital markets, advising clients on a wide range of joint venture equity, structured finance, and core debt strategies. He is known for his deep capital relationships and market insight, developed through prior service on Fannie Mae’s Originator Subcommittee and Freddie Mac’s Seller/Servicer Advisory Board, as well as advisory roles with several key correspondent life companies. He is a past chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association Originator Council and an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council.
