Driving change: Northmarq donates $100K to nonprofits supporting affordable housing, improving our local communities
MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 2) — On this Giving Tuesday, Northmarq is proud to share that it has donated $100,000 through its Northmarq Neighbors grant program and Give to the Max Day fundraising campaign in Minnesota.
Both initiatives are dedicated to helping increase access to affordable housing and improve local communities.
“Our Northmarq Neighbors program and Give to the Max Day campaign underscore our dedication to building stronger communities through access to affordable housing,” CEO Jeffrey Weidell said. “This investment reflects our core belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home, and we’re proud to support initiatives that make that possible.”

Senior Director of Content and Research Lanie Beck nominated McNair Men’s Mission, which supports men experiencing homelessness who are ready to rebuild their lives — and 90% of the men currently staying there are employed or have a steady source of income.
“Getting to know some of the men staying at the McNair Men’s Mission has been an inspiring experience,” Lanie said. “Their determination to improve their lives and work toward independence is nothing short of remarkable.
“While it’s easy for some to overlook or judge those who need a helping hand, the organization goes beyond simply offering meals and a roof. It creates a sense of dignity and hope that extends far beyond the dinner table.”
Northmarq’s Give to the Max Day campaign supports 5 nonprofits
Give to the Max Day was Nov. 20 in Minnesota, and Northmarq’s fundraising campaign supported Aeon, CommonBond, CornerHouse, Second Harvest Heartland and The Grief Club of Minnesota.
Northmarq and members of its workforce have been longstanding supporters of these organizations, as they match Northmarq’s passion to improve local communities and increase access to affordable housing.
“The generosity shown during Give to the Max Day reflects the power of collective action,” said Chief Operating Officer Shawn Power, who’s also on Aeon’s Board of Directors. “By combining individual contributions with Northmarq’s match, we’ve helped strengthen organizations that expand access to affordable housing and support local communities. We’re proud to play a role in creating meaningful change.”
