OVERLAND PARK (March 11, 2013) – Brent Blake, vice president of NorthMarq’s Kansas City regional office, arranged first mortgage refinancing of $7 million for Joplin Plaza Apartments, a 174-unit market-rate multifamily property located at 1715 Rex Avenue in Joplin, Missouri. Through its AmeriSphere DUS affiliate, NorthMarq arranged a 10-year refinance of the subject following the property’s total destruction by a May 2011 tornado and complete rebuilding. “We were honored to arrange financing for the owners of this major Joplin, Missouri apartment community and to have played a small role in the rebuilding of the city,” said Blake.
