About Juda

Juda Penini is a vice president of Debt + Equity at Northmarq, where he structures and executes debt and equity solutions across the capital stack for commercial real estate sponsors. He advises clients across a broad range of asset classes, including market-rate and affordable multifamily housing, industrial, medical office, retail and single-tenant properties, with particular expertise in bridge, construction, agency and life company financing.

Juda is frequently engaged on complex transactions where conventional financing falls short and offers creative structuring, strong sponsor advocacy and coordination across multiple capital sources. His clients include private equity and hedge fund-backed sponsors, family offices, regional developers and nonprofit organizations across Southern California and nationwide.

Over his 15-year career, Juda has closed more than $750 million in commercial real estate transactions. Prior to joining Northmarq, he served as an associate director of Capital Markets at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation, where he was recognized as a Rising Star after originating more than $200 million in debt financing across multifamily, retail, office, and industrial assets nationwide. Previously, he held a senior advisory role at Savills Studley, advising corporate and institutional clients on broader long-term real estate strategy.

Earlier in his career, Juda served as vice president of Project Management at D&F Construction Corp., overseeing more than 150 residential and commercial construction projects. This hands-on construction background informs his practical, execution-focused approach to capital markets and allows him to structure financing with a clear understanding of development risk, timelines and lender expectations.

Juda works closely with family offices, regional developers, and 501(c)(3) organizations, with a particular emphasis on affordable and workforce housing initiatives. He frequently advises mission-driven organizations and community-focused sponsors on complex capital structures and long-term financing strategies.

Juda holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Maryland and has completed professional coursework in real estate development through the University of California, Los Angeles. He is fluent in Hebrew and remains an active part of his local Jewish community.
