Jay Donaldson

Jay Donaldson is a key leader at Northmarq, overseeing the production and underwriting for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) business lines. As a member of the Executive Committee, Jay drives collaboration among production offices to elevate Agency and FHA output. 

Before joining Northmarq, Jay was the COO of AmeriSphere Multifamily Finance, acquired by Northmarq in 2015. With nearly three decades in lending, Jay's expertise spans Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), bridge, mezzanine and preferred equity across various commercial real estate types. He has hands-on experience in every lending aspect, from origination to credit to capital markets.

Jay is deeply involved in the commercial real estate industry, chairing the Fannie Mae DUS Advisory Council and serving on the MBA's MORPAC Steering Committee. He has also chaired MBA’s Multifamily Committee.

Beyond his professional life, Jay owns Lucky Buck Productions, nurturing emerging artists through his production company and recording label. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas Tech University and resides in Dallas with his family.
