Jamie Butler

Jamie Butler is a managing director on Northmarq’s Debt + Equity team based in the firm’s Washington D.C. office. He leads a team of professionals responsible for providing debt and equity solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners throughout the United States. With more than 20 years of structured finance industry experience, Jamie has arranged financing for commercial real estate transactions totaling over $15 billion and received numerous industry recognitions, including ranking consistently among the top producers in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Prior to joining Northmarq in 2026, Jamie led capital markets teams at Walker & Dunlop and CBRE in delivering creative solutions across the capital markets to include JV equity, mezzanine, and bridge capital as well as core debt offerings including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD products.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in public policy and economics from Vanderbilt University.

Beyond the company, Jamie is a member of Urban Land Institute, National Multifamily Housing Council, Mortgage Bankers Association, and is a licensed real estate salesperson in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He and his wife reside with their children in Washington, D.C.
