Greg Laughton
Greg Laughton joined Northmarq's Charlotte office in 2024. Head of a three-person team focused on advising clients on multi-tenant properties nationwide, Greg is an experienced commercial real estate advisor skilled in providing bespoke solutions for clients including institutional, private equity firms, public and private real estate investment trusts, developers, private family trusts, high net worth individuals, owner/users and private individuals. Greg has extensive experience with commercial real estate investment sales, property ownership, development, financing and valuation, to help guide clients through every stage of their investment.
Prior to joining Northmarq, Greg was head of Sands Investment Group’s Charlotte-based Shopping Center Investment advisor team, helping start the multi-tenant division in 2019. Prior to Sands, he was a senior managing director and co-head of Securitization and Credit at RAIT Financial Trust and was primarily responsible for credit-decisions, securitization, marketing and investor interaction on approximate $3.5 billion of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining RAIT in 2009, Greg was a director in the Global Real Estate Strategies group with Wachovia Securities. Before joining Wachovia, he was a senior investment sales advisor for Advantis Real Estate Services Company, as well as a commercial real estate appraiser at Integra Realty Resources. Greg began his career in 1995 as a senior analyst at CoStar Group.
Greg is a member of ICSC and is active with the YMCA of Charlotte, Second Harvest of the Carolinas and The Cooper Royall Foundation. He is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina and graduated from Bucknell University.
