Northmarq named Investment Sales Brokerage Firm of the Year by REjournals Illinois 2024 Real Estate Awards

CHICAGO (June 10, 2024) — The REjournals Illinois 2024 Real Estate Awards recently held their annual awards dinner and program in Rosemont, Ill., announcing Northmarq as the Brokerage Firm of the Year in Investment Sales. Northmarq is pleased to share this recognition by industry peers and celebrate our Investment Sales teams and transactions across Illinois in 2023.

The annual REjournals Commercial Real Estate Awards celebrate achievements, successes and highlights from across the commercial real estate industry, including significant transactions, brokers and broker teams.

Northmarq finalists 

Northmarq’s Midwest Multifamily Investment Sales team of Parker Stewart, Dominic Martinez and Alex Malzone were finalists for the Broker Team of the Year Award. During 2023, the team closed 14 deals totaling $395 million located throughout Missouri, Illinois and Iowa, including several which were located in tertiary markets that do not typically see much activity.

One of the team’s significant deals, The Meadows at River Run, was also a finalist for the Most Significant Investment Sale Transaction in 2023 – Multifamily category. Located in Bolingbrook in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, this 374-unit multifamily property was one of the largest sales in Illinois in 2023. The property is located in one of the most desirable suburbs in Chicago, within the I-55 corridor near major headquarters such as Ulta Beauty, ATI Physical Therapy and Weathertech. Investors from across the country submitted offers for the asset and a Midwest private investment fund was the ultimate buyer.
