Northmarq completes $21.1 million sale and financing of Arbor Square in Shawnee, Kansas

MISSION WOODS, KANSAS (September 19, 2022) – Gabe Tovar, senior vice president and Jeff Lamott, managing director of Northmarq’s Kansas City investment sales team, finalized the $21.1 million sale of Arbor Square. Built in 1971, the 195-unit community is located at 7613 Flint Street in Shawnee, Kansas.

Brett Hood, managing director with Northmarq’s Chicago debt and equity team, assisted Quad Property Group in securing a fixed-rate loan of $13,845,000 through Northmarq’s Optigo status as a Freddie Mac lender. 

“Our team was working around the 1.30x DCR sizing constraint on a 35-year amortization. Through our analysis with Freddie Mac, they were able to step up and deliver during a period of instability,” said Hood. 

Situated in the highly sought-after Johnson County submarket, Arbor Square is across the street from Shawanoe Elementary School and only five minutes from Advent Health, one of the largest regional hospital systems in Kansas City.
