Mark Hellwig

Mark Hellwig is a vice president in Northmarq’s Chicago office and specializes in the disposition and acquisition of single tenant and net lease properties throughout the United States. His team focuses on retail, office and industrial net lease properties, with a strong presence in the government-leased asset arena. Over the last 30 years as an investment property broker, Mark has completed more than 250 transactions valued in excess of $2.5 billion and has gained valuable experience in a wide range of assets. 

Mark’s brokerage experience includes serving as a director at Stan Johnson Company (which was acquired by Northmarq). Additionally, Mark previously served as a senior director with Marcus & Millichap for five years, a senior vice president with CBRE’s Investment Properties Group for seven years and a senior associate in the Financial Services Group at Cushman & Wakefield for five years. In addition to his extensive experience in investment sales, Mark has also worked in commercial real estate as an attorney, a mortgage broker, a property manager and a real estate professional on Wall Street. 

Mark has been active in professional organizations as a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, ICSC and the Urban Land Institute. He holds a bachelor's degree and M.B.A. in business administration and finance from the University of Missouri as well as a J.D. from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law.
