About Logan

Logan McCarthy is a vice president with Northmarq’s Debt + Equity team in the Minneapolis office. He is responsible for structuring debt and equity capital for commercial and multifamily real estate transactions nationwide. Logan works with a broad range of clients, including private owners, institutional sponsors, and repeat borrowers, to deliver tailored capital solutions across stabilized, transitional, and development-oriented business plans.

In his role, Logan leverages Northmarq’s relationships with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, life insurance companies, HUD, CMBS lenders, debt funds, banks, and credit unions to identify the most competitive execution for each transaction. He brings particular strength in analyzing complex capital stacks and aligning financing structures with borrower objectives across multiple asset types.

Prior to his current role, Logan served as an investment analyst in Northmarq’s Minneapolis office, where he was actively involved in underwriting and closing transactions across a wide range of commercial real estate asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, retail, office, and mixed-use properties. He supported senior producers through detailed financial analysis, lender coordination, and transaction execution from initial underwriting through closing.

Logan’s transaction experience includes permanent debt financing, supplemental loans, bridge and transitional financing, and construction loans. His time as an analyst provided a comprehensive understanding of underwriting standards, lender requirements, and deal structuring across multiple capital sources.

In addition to his role on the Debt + Equity team, Logan also assisted as an investment sales analyst for the Minneapolis Multifamily Investment Sales team for a period of time. He supported underwriting and deal sizing efforts, compiled market and submarket statistics, and assisted with transactions from initial pricing through closing. This experience provided additional perspective on transaction execution while complementing his primary focus on debt origination and financing strategy.

Logan is an active member of NAIOP Minnesota and participates in the organization’s Developing Leaders program. In addition, he was recognized by Finance & Commerce as a Rising Young Professional in 2024. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in finance and a minor in strategic management from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
