David Vinson

David Vinson is a managing director based in Northmarq's Raleigh office, where he leads debt and equity teams in the firm’s Raleigh and Charlotte regional offices. He focuses primarily on arranging debt and equity financing on behalf of owners of multifamily and commercial real estate assets throughout the U.S., with a particular focus on the Carolinas region. David brings 20+ years of capital markets experience, including 11+ years with Northmarq, where he has transacted across a broad range of asset classes and capital sources.

Prior to joining Northmarq, David spent 2+ years with Berkeley Capital Advisors, a Charlotte, NC-based boutique investment sales firm focused on the sale of retail investment properties in the Southeastern United States. Prior to joining Berkeley Capital Advisors, David spent five years with Wachovia/Wells Fargo, including three years as an analyst in Wachovia Securities fixed income division and two years as an asset manager in the bank’s commercial real estate owned group, focused on the management and disposition of distressed commercial real estate assets. Additionally, David spent a year in 2024-2025 with Magnolia Companies, pursuing and executing on development, acquisition, and financing, before returning to Northmarq in November 2025.

David received his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University.
