Barry Gersten

Barry Gersten joined Northmarq in 2024 as Managing Director, Director of Capital Markets. Based in West Palm Beach, Florida, he has led the firm’s national initiatives to expand bridge and CMBS/conduit lending through the development of new programs and strategic relationships. In June 2025, he joined the Northmarq Fund Management team, to lead the mortgage origination strategy for the firm’s senior mortgage fund.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Barry spent three years as managing director at Regions Bank, where he led the bank’s CMBS loan program. Before that, he co-founded Bedrock Capital Associates, and he held several senior management positions with Capmark (GMAC Commercial Mortgage) and Lehman Brothers.

Barry earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his Master of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
