Maggie Brady named Rising Star by San Diego Business Journal
SAN DIEGO (Nov. 17, 2025) — Maggie Brady, associate of Investment Sales in Northmarq’s San Diego office, received the San Diego Business Journal Commercial Real Estate Rising Star Award.
The award honors emerging leaders who demonstrate exceptional skill, professionalism and impact early in their careers, celebrating their contributions to the industry and potential to shape the future of commercial real estate in San Diego.
In her first year as a broker, Brady represented an institutional client in acquiring a five-property quick service restaurant (QSR) portfolio in the Midwest — expanding their footprint into two additional states and advancing its investment objectives within the QSR sector.
“Maggie has displayed the highest level of professionalism and understanding of our firm’s objectives,” her client said. “Her unrelenting work ethic and combination of technical and interpersonal skills have separated herself as a uniquely capable and reliable partner.”
Brady is a member of the firm’s National Restaurant Group and specializes in the acquisition and disposition of single-tenant net lease restaurant properties nationwide, advising franchisees, developers, REITs and high-net-worth individuals. Her expertise spans market analysis, underwriting and financial modeling.
“Maggie operates with the confidence and skill of a seasoned broker,” Matt Lipson, Northmarq senior vice president, added. “I trust her judgment and value her as a key contributor to our team’s success.”
Before transitioning into brokerage, Brady supported her team’s financial analysis, underwriting, and deal execution, contributing to more than $50 million in transaction volume. She also helped develop the National Restaurant Group’s internal brand database, enhancing cap rate guides and creating developer resources for restaurant operators.
Brady earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from the University of San Diego and represented the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate in the NAIOP San Diego University Challenge. Outside of work, she mentors middle school students through Nativity Prep Academy’s AMIGOS program.
