GlobeSt. honors Northmarq Debt + Equity teams among 2026 Rainmakers in CRE Debt, Equity & Finance

Northmarq’s Houston and Salt Lake City offices earn national recognition for delivering innovative financing

MINNEAPOLIS (Feb. 5, 2026) — Northmarq is proud to announce that its Houston and Salt Lake City Debt + Equity teams are 2026 GlobeSt. Rainmakers in CRE Debt, Equity & Finance. The annual program honors the top professionals and teams shaping capital markets through innovation, expertise and exceptional client service.

Houston Debt + Equity team

The Houston Debt + Equity team — led by Managing Directors Tony Gray, Warren Hitchcock, John Burke, Chad Owens and Matt Franke and Senior Directors Larry Peters and Roger Trapnell — is recognized for its influential role across Texas and the broader Southeast. The team also includes Ryan Watson, Travis Fite, Blake Butler, Blane Eikenhorst, Chris Compton and Taylor Phillips.

The Houston group structures debt and equity solutions across the full capital stack, serving institutional and entrepreneurial clients across industrial, multifamily, office and retail sectors.

The team has earned a reputation for its collaborative approach, combining market intelligence with creative financing strategies. Its recent accomplishments include the equity capitalization of the 1.2-million-square-foot Port 99 Industrial Development, construction financing for a Tesla build-to-suit project, and multiple large portfolios of small-bay industrial acquisitions.

In addition to production achievements, team members hold leadership and volunteer positions in organizations including Mortgage Bankers Association, Urban Land Institute, Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), International Council of Shopping Centers, The CCIM Institute and local community nonprofits.

Salt Lake City Debt + Equity team

Northmarq’s Salt Lake City team has been a long standing leader in Utah’s commercial real estate finance market, known for deep client relationships, market expertise and decades of consistent performance. Led by John Bradshaw, executive vice president and regional managing director, and Nate Barnson, managing director, the team includes Larry Pinnock, Adam Bradshaw, Ben Vroman and Bracken Ostler.

With more than two decades of collaboration, the team has closed billions in financing across all major property types. Since 2022, the group has completed 129 transactions totaling more than $2 billion, including nearly $948 million in multifamily deals and $808 million in industrial financings.

Recent standout transactions include the $97 million refinance of a 22-property self-storage portfolio, the $81 million refinance of a FedEx Ground industrial facility, and a $78 million refinance for Midtown 360, a 494-unit luxury multifamily property in Orem, Utah.

Clients consistently cite the team’s responsiveness, integrity and ability to navigate complex capital markets. Their long term partnerships, some spanning more than two decades, demonstrate the team’s influence on Utah’s CRE financing landscape.

The team is also active in industry and community organizations. Bradshaw currently serves as chair of the Salt Lake City Airport Advisory Board, while Barnson, Pinnock, and others contribute through the Mortgage Bankers Association and additional civic roles.
