Faron Thompson

Faron Thompson is senior vice president and regional managing director in Northmarq’s Atlanta office, where he leads debt and equity placement efforts across multifamily properties throughout the Southeast. Drawing on a wide array of capital sources — from life insurance companies and Wall Street conduits to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD and more — Faron brings a collaborative, hands-on approach to delivering customized financing solutions.

Faron’s leadership style reflects his deep commitment to servant leadership, focusing on treating others as he wants to be treated. This ethos is rooted in his 17 years as the co-founder and principal of Primary Capital Advisors, where he honed his skills as a trusted advisor and built a reputation for fostering strong relationships and driving superior outcomes.

Since joining Northmarq in 2020, Faron has worked closely with the company’s Investment Sales offices and nationally recognized Servicing platform to broaden regional capabilities and client service, leveraging his unique perspective and extensive industry experience.

Prior to Northmarq, he led Atlanta’s capital markets group at JLL, managing integration across business lines, and played a pivotal role in shaping the multifamily capital landscape through his leadership at Primary Capital Advisors. His contributions also include significant involvement with Freddie Mac, where he served multiple terms on their Production, Servicing and Technology Advisory Councils.
