NorthMarq Internships Provide Hands-on Industry Experience and Career Opportunities
Summer internships are important for college students and critical to NorthMarq’s growth strategy. According to Heidi Grange, head of Human Resources for NorthMarq. “Our internship program provides meaningful experience through work on a variety of projects and the opportunity to learn from senior leaders in every department of the company.”
The company typically hires more than 20 interns each summer, but 2021 was a resounding success with more than 30 students from 18 schools working in Production, Fannie Mae/FHA, Debt & Equity, Servicing, IT and Marketing. This September, recruiting begins for the next group of interns looking for an introduction to both commercial real estate and the opportunities for growth within NorthMarq.
“One thing that stood out to me here at NorthMarq is how much access we have to upper-level management and our managers,” said Brianna Cairns, intern - Portfolio Management and a student at University of Notre Dame.
The company’s on-campus recruiting and partnerships with industry associations and community organizations – including the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), Upturnships, CREW, and RENEW – have supported our ability to recruit the best and bright talent.
“Interns receive top-notch training and opportunities to learn from professionals and have exposure to future career opportunities after graduation,” said Grange. “We are proud of the career path we’ve developed to offer a roadmap that can lead to senior production, servicing, or investment sales roles.”
