NorthMarq announces annual Loan Servicing Awards

Jason Lenz and Stephanie Black recognized for customer service, leadership, and integrity

MINNEAPOLIS (MARCH 27, 2019) - NorthMarq’s leadership team recently announced its recipients of the 2018 Servicing awards, which recognizes employees in Loan Servicing who demonstrate leadership, customer service, and ethical conduct. Jason Lenz, senior vice president/senior manager-Escrow Administration, was named the recipient of the Karen Pribnow Award for Outstanding Leadership. Stephanie Black, manager-commercial insurance, received the Excellence in Servicing award.

Karen Pribnow Award for Outstanding Servicing Leadership
NorthMarq’s long-time Director of Servicing was Karen Pribnow, who retired in 2013. The company’s annual award recognizes a Servicing leader who exemplifies the highest level of ethics, demonstrates a commitment to developing themselves and others, builds positive relationships within and outside of the company, and is viewed as a leader in the industry who proactively works to establish NorthMarq as a leader in serving our commercial real estate finance customers.

Nominations for Jason Lenz, who has been with NorthMarq since 2004, described him as a person who always brings his A-game to work. He challenges, motivates, and inspires his employees to be better professionally as well as personally. He is constantly thinking of his employees and gets to know them on a personal level.

“Jason is a leader among leaders, especially in the areas of recruiting and leadership development. His skill and strategic thinking have made him a valuable asset to the Servicing department, as demonstrated by his 20-year career path,” said Bert Libke, senior vice president/managing director-Loan Servicing. Jason has been a leader in Portfolio Management, Investor Accounting, and currently leads the Commercial Insurance and Investor Accounting and Tax teams.

Excellence in Servicing Award
The Excellence in Servicing award goes to non-managers who are highly respected at NorthMarq and demonstrate a high level of customer focus as well as a commitment to the company’s mission and core values. Stephanie Black’s nominators noted that she is the ultimate team player who is always willing to take on new challenges and additional work while maintaining a focus on the customer and the needs of her team—all while keeping a smile on her face.

“Her strong commitment to the organization and our clients was illustrated when a pool of 25 loans closed last summer. Stephanie stepped up to take the lead while maintaining her regular workload,” said Nicole Malaske, assistant vice president, Commercial Insurance. “With many parties involved, she did a great job managing everyone’s expectations throughout the process. The producer in our Omaha office had nothing but praise for the results Stephanie achieved.”

Stephanie was promoted to Commercial Insurance Risk Manager in 2018, based upon her demonstrated leadership in the Insurance department, through taking ownership of projects like revamping our process for the mandatory flood requirements on Fannie Mae loans. She has been with NorthMarq since 2012.
