Eight healthcare assets. Five exchanges. Four states. One Northmarq team.
Maple Street Management turns to Northmarq to navigate complex healthcare portfolio acquisition.
With the strategic support of Northmarq’s fully integrated platform, Maple Street Management successfully navigated five simultaneous 1031 exchanges to acquire a portfolio of eight healthcare properties across four states. This complex undertaking required seamless coordination and creative structuring from several team members across Northmarq.
“It was one of the most coordinated efforts we’ve ever executed,” said David Annett, vice president of investment sales. “We had to optimize returns, balance risk profiles, and realign assets across exchange buckets to meet financing and tax objectives.”
Northmarq’s Tulsa Investment Sales team, led by Annett, and its St. Louis Debt + Equity team, led by Jada Purchase, collaborated closely with the firm’s 1031 Exchange and Triple Net Lease Financing teams to bring the strategy to life.
“Each member of the Northmarq team went well beyond the regular level one would expect and acted as if they were full team members on the principal side,” Maple Street Management Partner and Chief Investment Officer David Weissman said. “Their dedication to our relationship and success stands apart and creates a positive atmosphere for future similar transactions.”
The transactions not only highlight Northmarq’s ability to coordinate across teams and services, they also showcase how a hands-on, relationship-driven approach can help private investment firms like Maple Street scale strategically, even in a volatile market.
“This is exactly the kind of challenge our platform is built for,” said Purchase. “It’s about creative structuring, trusted partnership, and delivering results under pressure.”
