NorthMarq Promotes Travis Krueger to Chief Operating Officer

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA (April 29, 2020) – Travis Krueger, NorthMarq’s chief administrative officer, has been promoted to the role of chief operating officer effective May 1, 2020. He succeeds Mike Myers, who retired at the end of March. In this role, Krueger oversees finance and accounting, information technology, human resources, capital services, marketing communications, and loan servicing. He also is integral in merger and acquisition activity for the company, which has been very active recently in both Investment Sales and Debt and Equity growth.

“Travis continues the steady hand of leadership over our headquarters’ functions and significant loan servicing platform. He also adds next generation talents for our technology initiatives and business expansion, while respecting and nurturing the culture NorthMarq has developed over time,” said Jeffrey Weidell, the company’s chief executive officer.

Krueger joined NorthMarq in 2012 and was promoted to CFO in 2013. During 2019, he became responsible for oversight of information technology, loan servicing, and corporate finance and accounting. As part of the executive leadership team, he has worked to grow the firm to nearly 600 employees, in nearly 40 offices, with a loan servicing portfolio exceeding $61 billion.

Before he joined NorthMarq, Krueger spent 13 years in public accounting, including approximately 12 years with McGladrey, where he served for six years as director. In that role, he was responsible for delivering a wide variety of assurance services to the financial services industry, including mortgage banking, community banking, investment companies, broker-dealers, and other specialty financial services companies including those involved in factoring, leasing, and asset based lending. He received a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of North Dakota.
