Joel Cukier

Joel Cukier joined Northmarq as senior vice president in 2023. Joel has extensive experience in net lease real estate and corporate sale leaseback advisory, strategically guiding his clients with creative solutions on how to maximize value at all stages in their investments. His multifaceted background in property development, finance, brokerage and leasing sets him apart in his field by providing his clients with a and in-depth hands-on experience unequaled in the commercial real estate industry. 

As a Brooklyn, New York native, Joel began pursuing his passion for commercial real estate in 2010 with a career in real estate management and development at The Rabsky Group in New York, focusing on developing luxury high-rise multifamily properties across the tristate area. Joel later relocated to California and pursued a career in finance with MBMJ Capital and eventually combined his skills in real estate and finance to join Marcus & Millichap under the direction of Mike James, a top net lease broker nationwide who would later recruit him to join James Capital Advisors and Ascension, a firm focusing on net lease and corporate sale leaseback advisory.

Joel currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three children. Apart from his professional pursuits, he leads an active lifestyle as an avid runner, having completed multiple marathons. During his leisure time, Joel enjoys reading, surfing, nature and spending time with friends and family.
