About

Dale Wittie is responsible for providing financing solutions for owners and developers of commercial real estate, primarily focusing on multifamily housing. Dale has significant experience in financing the development and preservation of affordable housing, including tax-exempt bond executions combined with 4% Housing Credits, as well as taxable financing paired with 9% Housing Credits.

Prior to Northmarq, Dale was the director of rental programs at Virginia Housing, a national leader in housing finance. In that role, Dale redesigned the lending platform and created new loan products targeting the entire spectrum of housing needs of families at all income levels, from public housing to market rate developments. One of his notable contributions was the enhancement to and significant expansion of the Mixed Use Mixed Income program. Dale also led the group that underwrote and closed the agency’s 9%/4% tax credit hybrid deals, a complex financing structure utilizing multiple funding channels intended to increase aggregate unit production. Over a five-year period loan production levels tripled and the servicing portfolio doubled, largely due to these two programs.

Dale is an alumnus of James Madison University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration concentrating in real estate finance.
