Northmarq welcomes Dale Wittie as senior vice president of Debt and Equity

RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 16, 2024) — Northmarq has announced the addition of Dale Wittie, senior vice president, to its Debt and Equity platform. Wittie is based in Richmond and will be responsible for providing financing solutions for owners and developers — primarily focusing on the development and preservation of affordable multifamily housing.

Wittie will report to Keith Wells, managing director in Northmarq’s Richmond Debt and Equity office, and work in collaboration with the Richmond Investment Sales team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dale Wittie to our team,” Wells said. “Dale’s experience in all aspects of multifamily financing rounds out our debt originations, complimenting our new equity platform run by Charlie Rimkus and our investment sales business headed by Chris Doerr.”

Before Northmarq, Wittie was the director of rental programs at Virginia Housing — a national leader in housing finance. In that role, Wittie redesigned the lending platform and created new loan products to target the entire spectrum of housing needs of families at all income levels, from public housing to market-rate developments. He contributed to the expansion of the agency’s Mixed Use Mixed Income program. He also led the agency’s group that underwrote and closed 9%/4% tax credit hybrid deals.

"I’m delighted to join the Northmarq team and contribute to the growth of the business in ways unique to my experience in commercial real estate," Wittie said.

Wittie is an alumnus of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Business Administration concentrating in real estate finance.
