Bryan Leonard is a managing director in Northmarq's San Antonio office. He keeps an owner’s perspective in mind and offers strategic financing solutions to clients through Northmarq’s preferred insurance correspondents, CMBS, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, debt funds, banks, credit unions and other prominent lenders. He has the ability to assist his clients with the entire capital stack for a deal, including equity, preferred equity, mezzanine debt and permanent first mortgages using his extensive market knowledge and relationships. 

Bryan is a nearly 30-year mortgage banking industry veteran who has facilitated approximately $1 billion in commercial real estate financing transactions that represent a diverse variety of capitalization structures, property types, ownership profiles, geography and capital sources. He began his career in Houston, Texas at a well-established boutique mortgage banking firm in 1992 and relocated to central Texas in 2003 to establish an office for a national mortgage banking platform. Under his leadership, the office was named by The San Antonio Business Journal as the largest local commercial real estate lender in 2007. 

Since 2009, Bryan has served as the managing director of the San Antonio Northmarq office and is a past recipient of the company's Rising Star award. Bryan has served as president of a large industry trade group and a committee member for the Real Estate Council of San Antonio’s inaugural Leadership Development program class. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Real Estate Roundtable at Texas A&M University and has made presentations to graduate students and industry trade groups. Bryan holds a master’s degree in real estate, has been married for 27 years and has two sons that are Eagle Scouts and attend Texas A&M University.
