MIAMI, FLORIDA (January 10, 2023) — Following the acquisition of Stan Johnson Company, Drew Neems, vice president, has launched a new platform in Northmarq’s recently opened Miami office located in Brickell (Miami’s financial center). Neems is experienced in disposition and acquisition advisory in all commercial asset-classes for a variety of institutional and private capital clients. He brings nearly a decade’s worth of commercial real estate and investment sales expertise to Northmarq’s South Florida office. In partnering with the office’s debt and equity team, Neems will establish the office as a full-service provider for local, regional and national clients.
“Being able to leverage the extensive range of Northmarq’s world class service lines will allow us to truly provide a full-service platform and one-stop shop to best serve all of our client’s net lease commercial real estate needs in Florida and nationally,” said Neems. “Given the increased deployment of investor capital in Florida, and more new faces playing in the net lease space than ever before, we’re beyond excited to grow our Miami team and well equipped to continue tackling the expansive market of opportunities with our clients”
Neems leads a team of investment sales professionals in the disposition, acquisition and capitalization of single-tenant and multi-tenant net lease retail, industrial, office and medical office properties for a variety of private and institutional client-types nationwide. He specializes in accessing private and institutional capital investors for his clients, in addition to providing an array of investment-sale services. This includes disposition and acquisition advisory, sale-leasebacks, 1031 exchanges, valuation services, market-trend and capital market analysis, and build-to-suits.
“With the addition of Drew to our dynamic new Miami team, we’re now able to fully serve the entire commercial real estate landscape in the South Florida region,” said Trevor Koskovich, president – investment sales. “In conjunction with our multifamily investment sales team in nearby Fort Lauderdale, Drew and the Miami team offer clients a full-range of capabilities throughout the entire ownership cycle of a property.”
Jeff Cox, executive managing director at Northmarq, agrees that adding a producer of Neems’ caliber is significant for Northmarq’s Miami office. “He possesses a deep understanding of net lease real estate and experience providing excellent client service, as evidenced by the transaction value he provides and the loyalty he has established as their commercial real estate advisor,” said Cox.
Prior to Joining Northmaq, Neems was vice president of investment sales at Imperial Realty in Chicago, where he led the investment sales team in disposition and acquisition advisory across all commercial asset-classes. Before Imperial Realty, he was an investment sales analyst in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets Group. Neems holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
