Health & Well-Being Benefits
Quality health care is vital to the well-being of you and your family. The medical coverage offered by Northmarq provides you with comprehensive, nationwide plan options through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of MN.
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) – Gold or Silver Plan: Two consumer-driven health plans that give you more control over how you spend your healthcare dollars. A HDHP plans provide a comprehensive, high-deductible health plan along with a health savings account (HSA), funded by Northmarq and your personal contributions (optional). After satisfaction of the deductible, the plan pays 100% of eligible expenses for services received from participating BCBS network providers.
Do you work out? Participants in our BCBS medical plans are also eligible for fitness discounts and a $20 credit for up to two members of your household through the Sharecare program.
Our Dental plans are offered through Delta Dental of Minnesota and are designed to encourage good dental health. Two nationwide plans are offered:
- The Preventative Plan provides 100% coverage for preventative services and 50% coverage for basic restorative services. $500 per individual annual benefit maximum.
- The Comprehensive Plan provides 100% coverage for preventative care services, 80% coverage for basic restorative services, 50% coverage for major services, and 50% orthodontia coverage ($2,000 lifetime maximum) for dependent children. $1,500 per individual annual benefit maximum.
The EyeMed vision care program provides affordable, quality vision care, nationwide. The vision program covers comprehensive eye exams and lenses or contacts once every 12 months and frames once every 24 months. Please note, an eye exam is also provided annually under either medical plan. EyeMed also provides a 40% discount on hearing aids and exams for you and your family.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Everyone needs a little bit of flexibility in their ever-changing lives. Flexible Spending Accounts are available for Healthcare, Dependent Care, and Transportation and allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay eligible medical, dental, vision, dependent care, parking, and commuter expenses.
Retirement Savings Plan — 401(k)
Our 401(k) plan is a great opportunity to save for retirement and build financial security. Contributions can be made pre-tax, after-tax (Roth), or a combination of both. By giving our employees the choice, we are allowing each of them to take ownership over their funds as well as meet their individual needs. Northmarq matches 100% of every dollar you contribute up to 3% and an additional 50% on the next 2% of your pay, all of which is vested immediately. We want you to enjoy your time working for us while creating a secure, comfortable retirement.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
We believe our employees should take time off from work when they need to — to be with their families and to take care of themselves. To promote this, we offer Paid Time Off (PTO) that encourages well-being and flexibility and allows employees to rest and recharge in a way that best meets their unique needs. Full-time employees earn up to 21 days in their first year with the company and that increases based on years of service. In addition, 10 paid holidays are provided each year.
All eligible employees receive company-provided basic life insurance coverage. In addition, you may purchase supplemental life insurance for yourself and your dependents.
At Northmarq, we believe that if an employee is ill or injured they should be focusing their energy on healing and not worrying. That is why we provide our employees with disability coverage. Disability benefits protect your income in the event that you are unable to work due to illness or injury. Northmarq provides short-term, long-term and supplemental long-term disability benefits, giving you the most security possible.
