NorthMarq is committed to developing a diverse and inclusive company at all levels. Our diversity, equity and inclusion initiative is chaired by Eduardo Padilla, executive chair and former CEO, and Jay Donaldson, president – Fannie Mae and HUD platforms. They are leading a committee comprised of employees with diverse backgrounds representing human resources, debt & equity production, investment sales, and loan servicing to assess how we can increase diversity within our company and within the industry.
Our efforts are focused on three areas:
Recruitment: We are focused on recruitment efforts to identify diverse candidates to join us and find success at NorthMarq
Development: We are working to further the development of diverse individuals to achieve a long, exciting career here.
Community and Industry Involvement: We are partnering with external resources to help NorthMarq as well as the industry achieve our goals. NorthMarq participates with the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Diversity recruiting initiative, and the Fannie Mae-sponsored Future Housing Leaders group, which has already identified nearly 300 interns from diverse backgrounds to place in the participating companies. We also sponsor and participate in CREW Network and RENEW, commercial real estate associations specifically for women in CRE.
