Centralized real estate information database
implemented following corporate merger
US Oncology, Inc.
US Oncology, Inc., based in Houston, Texas, is the result of a corporate
merger formed by American Oncology Associates (AOR) and Physicians Reliance
Network (PRN). This company represents approximately 1,000 physicians in the
United States who specialize in cancer care treatment and research. US
Oncology’s real estate portfolio consists of approximately 500 locations,
including leased, owned and timeshare properties.
Challenges
Following the merger of AOR and PRN, US
Oncology needed a single source of real estate
information that provided dynamic online
reporting capabilities for the combined
organization’s real estate portfolio. Neither
company’s system was technologically advanced
enough to absorb the other company’s
information. The goal was to provide a contract
management system with lease administration
processes and portfolio reporting capabilities.
Solutions
NorthMarq gathered information from both companies
and streamlined the real estate information into a
single, web-based reporting system. Tracking specific
information for each location provided a more complete
understanding of this sizable portfolio. By outsourcing
this task to NorthMarq, US Oncology was able to focus on
its core business while gaining the ability to make
better informed real estate decisions.
NorthMarq provided US Oncology with their first
all-inclusive online real estate information and
reporting tool. By providing lease administration,
finance reporting, desktop CAM audits and customized
real estate reports, NorthMarq’s Contract Management
team adds value each day to US Oncology’s real estate,
finance, risk management, legal and accounts payable
departments.
