NorthMarq is committed to sustainability in
commercial real estate. We believe improving energy
efficiency in properties we manage is vital to the
long-term health of the property and the health of
our communities.
We know that being “green” not only helps the
environment, it also lowers costs for both tenants
and owners. A green building uses less energy (lower
electric and heating bills), generates less waste
(smaller dumpsters), and provides a healthier
workplace for employees (lower healthcare costs).
Unlike some companies, we don’t just talk about making your property more
“green,” we evaluate the possibilities, establish a plan of action, and
implement strategies appropriate for each property. Our commitment is so
strong our employees have even been known to go “dumpster diving” to find
out how much trash from one property can actually be recycled instead of
ending up in a landfill.
Property owners can benefit from our experience in providing low-cost or
no-cost evaluation/review of properties, pre-investigation of LEED
Certification and Energy Star scoring. We also have strong relationships
with local/regional utility providers to help maximize available rebates.
