The Business Development Executive (BDE) will strategize to identify, prioritize and pursue new and existing opportunities with partners and prospective clients in the corporate real estate and facility management outsourcing market. The BDE is required to have the proven ability to sell at the financial level of the organization including the CFO, CEO and CRE.

The BDE serves as the liaison for external partners and internal groups within NorthMarq including real estate project, contract and transaction management areas. The BDE will manage the discovery and benchmarking process as part of solution development for complex outsourcing deals for mid cap companies in the financial, telecommunications, technology and manufacturing markets; transactions are estimated to be in the $25-100 million per year in total expense range.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Word processing to include reports, marketing collateral, PowerPoint presentations
  • Responsible for achieving new sales goals and objectives
  • Markets and promotes the product and services of the Company
  • Plans and coordinates the sales calls and presentations for perspective clients
  • Provides direct consultation, training, and assistance to perspective clients
  • Leads the discovery, benchmarking and solution development process
  • Assists in proposal development, pricing and contract negotiation

 

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
    • 5+ years experience in outsourcing sales and business development in the real estate, procurement or facilities area
    • In depth knowledge and understanding of the real estate market and needs of prospective clients
    • Ability to establish and maintain executive relationship with targeted clients
    • Ability to develop and prepare sales presentations
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
    • Experience in contract preparation negotiation and closing
    • Knowledge and ability to conduct internet based technology demonstrations
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and writing
    • Ability to analyze financial information and develop cost reduction strategies
